Block Jointin Mortar- ACT BLOCKFIX 101
ACT BLOCKFIX 101 is the factory prepared blend of carefully selected raw materials, i.e cement, graded sand, polymers and additives by fully automated plant. It is prepared with a formulation engineered to provide water retention, exceptional workability, better adhesion and superior bond strength over masonry substrates. It just needs addition of required amount of water to produce high strength thixotropic mortar, for laying AACBlocks, Fly ash bricks, cement hollow blocks, Cellular concrete blocks or other Masonry blocks.

Uses
For interior and exterior use for preparing thin bed adhesive AACBlocks, Fly ash bricks, cement hollow blocks, Cellular concrete blocks or other Masonry blocks.

INSTALLATION
-
All surfaces should be structurally sound, clean and free of all dirt, oil, grease, concrete sealers or curing compounds. Rough or uneven concrete surfaces should be made smooth to provide better finish. Installation may be made on a damp surface. All slabs must be plumb and true to within permissible limits. Do not cover expansion joints with mortar.
-
Use 40kg of ACT 101 Block Jointing Mortar with Approx. 25-30% or appropriate amount of potable water. Take water in the container and slowly add the powder into the water while mixing by hand or slow speed mixing machine. Mix for 3 to 5 minutes till a smooth thixotropic mix without lumps is obtained.
-
Before placing mortar, ensure surface is cleaned properly. Place the mixed mortar on the block work in thin layers of 3 to 6 mm (or as required by engineers at site) using trowel and place the next layer of blocks on the mortar. Keep joints between the blocks as required by the site engineers and fill the joints with the mixed mortar, using a trowel. Check the plumb of the wall while laying the blocks to keep the walls perfectly vertical to the plumb.
-
Clean tools and containers with water while mortar is fresh. Clean tools after more than 20 minutes break.
