ACEM 500
ACEM 500 is a two component acrylic cementitious flexible waterproofing & protective coating with excellent resistant to hydrostatic pressure and good bond to damp surfaces. It is suitable for areas such as potable water tanks where protective surface resistant to corrosion, chemical attack and bacterial growth is necessary. It is also applied to waterproof and protect concrete and masonry substrates

Uses
-
Can be used as a waterproofing membrane on freshly laid concrete before other application like cladding, tile adhesives or other such application.
-
Can be used as a waterproofing membrane in water tanks and also in tanks used for potable water storage.
-
Can be applied over internal damp walls and concrete surfaces due to its excellent bonding.
-
Can seal the fresh screeds if used within a week before any other application.

INSTALLATION
Surface Preparation
All surfaces should be, clean and free of all dirt, oil, grease, concrete sealers etc. to avoid weak bonding. Rough or uneven concrete base should be made smooth and even to provide better finish.
Mixing
Shake the PART A the liquid component well to a homogenous milky color. Use heavy duty slow speed mechanical mixer fitted with a suitable paddle for mixing the two components of the material. In a mixing vessel, slowly add PART B the powder component in to the liquid under continuous stirring. Continue to stir thoroughly to achieve lump free homogenous slurry.
Application
When ACEM 500 is to be applied to dry concrete it is advisable to wet the surface with a fine mist of water before application and allow to just surface dry. Spread the material using a squeegee, roller or brush taking care to achieve required coverage. A minimum of one coat for efflorescence and rising damp, two coats for waterproofing and waterproofing negative side walls is recommended.
