Plaster Mortar – ACT PLAST 102
ACT PLAST 102 is the polymerized plaster mortar modified with fibers and special additives to gain advantage over traditional plaster mortar. It is factory prepared blend of carefully selected raw materials and proportion is as per the IS guidelines and standards. It is designed to use with water to produce superior strength. Plasters with ACT PLAST 102 mortar have lesser chances of developing cracks. It is easy to use with improved bond, smooth finish and maintains cleanliness at work place at the time of execution.
Uses
ACT PLAST 102 can be used efficiently on bricks, blocks, stone walls as well as concrete surfaces. It can also be used for small patch up and repairing work avoiding the inconvenience caused by bringing all raw materials and mixing it at different places, at different floors on large sites. ACT PLAST 102 can be used advantageously on big sites where a good quality work is desired.

Coverage
Coverage depends on the plumb, evenness of wall and mix consistency. Approx 6-8 ltrs of water is needed for good mix. However adjust the water content as per the site condition.

Shelf Life
Factory sealed bags of this product are good for three (3) months* if stored off the ground in a dry area under controlled atmosphere.

High humidity will reduce the shelf life of bagged product
Limitations
These mortars are not replacements for waterproof membranes. When a waterproof membrane is required use specific product.

INSTALLATION

All surfaces should be, clean and free of all dirt, oil, grease, concrete sealers etc. to avoid weak bonding. Rough or uneven concrete surfaces should be made smooth to provide better finish. In case of dry surface, water should be sprinkled to make the surface moist.

Use 40kg of ACT PLAST 102 with Approx. 6-8 litres or appropriate amount of potable water. Take water in the container and slowly add the granular powder into the water while mixing by hand or slow speed mixing machine. Mix for 4 to 5 minutes till a smooth mix without lumps is obtained. Hard and set plaster should not be mixed again.

Before applying the plaster, ensure surface is cleaned properly. If applied on smooth concrete surface, make the surface rough before application for better bonding. The mortar mix should be used within 45-60 mins after preparation.

Under normal conditions curing should be done for 2-3 days as per normal practice. In case of extreme weather conditions it should be altered as per the site conditions.

Clean tools and containers with water while mortar is fresh. Clean tools after more than 20 minutes break.
